![]() ![]() Throughout the film, “Ocean’s Eleven,” the charismatic and humorous portrayal of Danny and his multifaceted group of comrades aiming to defeat Benedict forces the reader to empathize with and root for them as they seek to commit an extraordinary and exciting crime. This occurs because the viewers are able to vicariously live through the men, which temporarily exempts them from the societal expectations of morality and enables them to bask in a world unconstricted by the limitations which hinder them from committing crimes. The immorality of the crime itself is ignored, resulting in the ironic portrayal of Danny and his eclectic group of sidekicks as the heroes and underdogs and Terry Benedict as the villain. ![]() He is also driven by jealousy and prompted to commit this crime in order to seek vengeance on Terry Benedict, the millionaire who owns the hotels and is currently in a relationship with Tess. ![]() In the film, “Ocean’s Eleven,” a group of men aim to rob 3 casinos in Las Vegas, an idea proposed by Danny Ocean, who is in pursuit of winning his wife back after she files for divorce while he is in jail. ![]()
